The evening’s flashback fashions travel from Africa to Motown. There will also be tributes to
gospel and to the 1950’s Dorothy Jean
Dandrigde era. Dandrigde, an African-American film and theatre actress, singer and dancer, was the first black actress to be nominated for an Academy
Award for Best Actress for her
performance in Carmen Jones.
The runway extravaganza will be
accompanied by the awarding winning sounds of Ric Alexander and his 2wo 4our
1ne band. Other highlights include soul food and Caribbean jerked chicken and
BBQ prepared by Red Rose Catering and The Nati catering. Raffle proceeds
benefit Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow Foundation.
